Tranquil haven
This place is close to paradise. Reading some comments beforehand we were -like others- a bit bewildered. After having stayed at the koh russey for four nights in a two bedroom beachfront suite, we are nothing but amazed. It's a tranquil haven with beautiful architecture and views, wonderful staff, an exceptionally large and gorgeous pool, good food (esp breakfast) etc. etc. 100% recommendable. Thanks for everything.

Beautiful modernist luxury resort on quiet private island
Awesome form when picked up by speed boat to arriving in the villa . A definite wow factor , as was arriving at the brilliantly designed modernist buildings and pools .. absolutely stunningly beautiful Staff all incredibly welcoming and efficient and lovely manager Samanta . We stayed at a pool villa , which came wonderfully positioned with direct view to see , its own pool and floodlit gardens at night time . The villa was fabulous with lounge , complimentary water , huge comfortable bed , dressing room , bathroom with egg bath and shower .

Gorgeous resort with inspiring architecture throughout. Friendly staff (operating on island time though so a little patience is required, prob just recovering from Covid difficulties, plus some of the staff are still in training so presumably/hopefully it’s a work in progress). Saw lots of tropical fish, cuttlefish, a nudibranch and multiple octopus when snorkeling! And finally, saw bioluminescent plankton at night! Though not easily visible from shore (prepare to go about waist deep into the water w/ snorkel gear), still worth it! Such a magical experience. Overall wonderful stay and would love to come back!!

So pleased
So pleased we chose to stay at Koh Russey resort. Bamboo island is tiny which means you have seclusion with Koh Russey resort being in a sheltered bay with a nice sandy beach. The non-motorised watersports (paddleboards & kayaks) are managed by Ali who provides great guidance. We found all the staff at Koh Russey (gardeners, reception staff through to the exec chef and management) to be excellent and always smiling. Our villa and overall facilities (not forgetting the spa) are all very good. Although you are a captured audience the price of food and drinks was reasonable and of a very good standard.
